Welcome back to another episode of rise. Your purpose. On this episode, I'm going to shift gears a little bit and focus on. Vision and mission when it comes to your legacy with your life and your business. So. Let's dive in. All right, Friends and Purpose Partners, this week, let's dive into your legacy with your life and business. I do believe as Kingdom Entrepreneurs, we have this almost internal desire to leave a legacy for our families or that next generation. It's just, I think, a part of our DNA, a part of who God created us to be. And so as we're building these businesses, I think sometimes we can. get a little lost in the shuffle, in the chaos, and one of the scriptures that has continually come up for me lately is Proverbs 29 18. And this is where God is saying, without vision, the people perish. And so that's kind of what I'm basing this topic around today is this scripture in Proverbs 18, or sorry, Proverbs 29 18. And I'm going to read a couple different versions of the scripture just because I think, I just like reading different translations because they can kind of bring some new meaning or deeper meaning sometimes when we see things from different perspectives. So let's dive into that. So Proverbs 29, 18 from the Message Translation, it says, If people can't see what God is doing, they stumble all over themselves. But when they attend to what he reveals, Now this, this is not the version that I typically have grown up with. I think the version that I typically know is like the NIV version or the King James version where it's like without people, the people, or sorry, without vision, the people perish. And so when I was reading this version, I was like, that makes a lot of sense when people can't see what God is doing. They stumble all over themselves because they're like, okay, God, I don't see you in action. So I'm not really sure where I'm supposed to go. So I'm going to go over here and see, look for you over here. I'm going to go to this side and see if you're on this side. I'm going to go check over here and see if you're there. And it's like, we're kind of just wandering around aimlessly almost like, yes, we're seeking up and we're looking for him. But if we can't see what he's doing, then we, I feel like we do start to question what's really going on. Are we in the right place? I mean, raise your hand, unless you're driving, if you have felt that. Like, I've been in that season, especially this past year, of like, God, I don't see what you're doing. I don't see the point to this. I'm like, I feel like I'm being obedient, but it just feels like everything's going wrong. And I feel like I'm literally tripping and stumbling all over. But it says, but when they attend to what he reveals, they are most blessed. And so I do want to encourage you that keep seeking God. Keep being attentive to what God is revealing. Keep journaling and speaking to Him because when we speak to God, He will speak back to us. Okay, so that was a message translation. Let's, let's look at the passion translation. So this one says, when there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. But when you follow the revelation of the word, Heaven's bliss fills your soul. So I really like that too, where it says, with no clear prophetic vision. So when we're not getting that, that vision from God, we wander astray. Because we, it's kind of like, going back to the shepherd, analogy is like, when you don't have a clear sight on your shepherd, you wander away. But when we can hear God's sweet whisper, we tend to come back to him, right? And so, and when we're, I think, I've noticed this a lot too, like when I'm busy or I'm not taking time to really sit with God, to really hear Him, I do wander. I do, my mind goes maybe more negative or my behavior becomes more flustered or anxious and, but when I come back to God and His Word and the revelation of His Word, My soul is filled with bliss. So, I like how that Okay, let's check out the NIV, which is more of what I'm used to reading. It says, where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint. But blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction. So again, where there is no revelation from God, then we tend to just Cast off restraint. We go every which which way we lose discipline. We kind of lose those good habits that we're used to But the person the one who heeds the wisdom of God and his instruction is blessed So this all comes back to this topic of God's vision his mission for business I'm going to lead you through a little exercise and then I'm going to actually do a couple different scripture as we pivot a little bit into legacy and inheritance because I do think that is important. But when we don't have vision, then we can't create legacy and inheritance. So I want to sit with vision and mission for a little bit and just talk through a couple things around that. So if you are currently struggling in your business right now, with maybe you have a vision but it's not coming to fruition or maybe you're like kind of like me where life is i've accomplished a lot of things and so now i'm like okay what is the next thing god has for me and i'm kind of feeling in a space where i don't really have a clear vision for the next place so i'm kind of just sitting which is a good place to be right i like i'm literally living dreams my dreams have come true and i'm sitting in them right now and so Part, I think part of my season is just to rest in these, these visions and these dreams that I have, these promises that God has, was giving me last year, and now I'm actually like living them out. And so that is a good place to be, but I'm also kind of in this in between where I'm like, I don't really know what to do next. And for me, my type A personality is kind of freaking out a little bit because I'm like, I feel like I don't have a vision or a plan. I feel like I'm just supposed to sit here and sitting here is not really my strong suit. So, I'm kind of like in this in between bird spot, but it kind of this whole conversation I've been having with God is inspired because it's first without vision the people perish and like God I don't want to perish like but I need to get some stuff on my vision board so I want to talk to you about like your vision your planning and Give you a little exercise of if maybe you're in the same spot, or maybe you're not like you have a vision Or here's the thing too where I think people get complicated is people give you their vision and then you go run with it and then it's like you find yourself on burnout and you find yourself stressed and you find yourself maybe in resentment and you're like, I was doing all these things and I was achieving all these things, but now I'm at the end of them and I'm just like, I still don't feel worthy. I still don't feel fulfilled. I really want to encourage you to make sure that the vision and mission that you're chasing is the mission and vision that God has actually given you, and you're not chasing somebody else's vision. Because it sounded good, and it sounded like something that you wanted, but you didn't really stop to ask God, is this the vision that you have for me? So let's do a heart check here too, while we're in this conversation. Okay, let's, let's just step back for a minute, let's just heart check. Why am I pursuing this specific vision or mission for my business? Where did that seed come from? And really do like a heart check, gut check of like, Is this vision or mission from God? And am I pursuing and being obedient to God's calling? So that's like your first exercise. Just kind of just do a little heart check on that. And then I want you to take some time and just sit down. Sit down with God, like truly enter into his rest, truly abide in him. And just ask Holy Spirit to, to like protect you that the only voice that you hear is God's voice and to just block out your voice, block out the enemy's voice, the world's voice, and only allow God's voice to speak to you. And then start asking Holy Spirit questions similar to this. So, a question could be like, What is your vision or the plan that you have for this business or this life that I'm living? What is the outcome that I need to work towards? Now, caveat that with, I do believe we're supposed to do the work and God is in control of the outcome. But just have, play with him, ask him like, what is the result, what is, what is the ultimate goal that you want me to have here in this business? What do you want to see as you do the work unto the Lord? So ask God like, what, give me the vision, give me this vision so I can clearly see at least the next step that I'm supposed to take. And even better, God, if you're willing, will you give me the bigger vision that I can hold on to when days are tough, when life is hard, when things keep coming at me, when that spiritual warfare is happening. Give me that bigger vision. This is something I prayed last year when we were in our house renovation and I was like, literally like, can I just set this place on fire? Because everything that can go wrong is going wrong. And I was just like, God, give me a vision for this house, for this pool. Like I've, it doesn't have kingdom impact. I don't even want it anymore. And to be honest, I didn't want it in the first place, but that's a whole nother episode. Literally being obedient and walking into this house. And God gave me the vision through my best friend. Like we've been best friends since elementary school. She just like out of the blue texted me and was like, I really want to be baptized in your pool. And that just like gave me this whole vision of like sunrise service, people being baptized, worship music around the pool, and making that everything that we've went through worth it for just that moment. And so I'm excited to see who and will be baptized in our pool. Nobody has been baptized yet as of this recording. But I do believe that is a vision that God is giving me. So I encourage you to just pray that prayer. God, what is the vision that you have for my life in business? And write it down as if it's already happening. Write down what are the feelings that come along with that with seeing that vision come to fruition. And do this in partnership with God. Like, I know that this is an exercise that businesses and coaches do, but they typically leave Jesus out of it and God out of it. And so I encourage you to like actually bring the whole tribe, Father, Son, Holy Ghost into this exercise and truly seek their heart, their, vision, what it's supposed to feel like, what is it supposed to look like? And Continue to ask this question as you're on your journey because I, when we're journeying with God, I feel like sometimes he gives us a vision, but the way we get there is like a whole bunch of pivots. So write it down, write the vision down, write what it's going to feel like, what is it going to look like taste, sense, what are the senses that come like, what is it going to smell like, what is it going to look like, what is it going to feel like, How much money is going to be in your bank account? Like actually Get as detailed as possible, and I believe you can ask God for the details because we know in the Bible, all throughout scripture We see that God is in the details, and he literally gives blueprints to people. He gave blueprints for how to build his temple He gave blueprints for what the priests should wear and how to do their, their garments He gave details for Noah on how to build the ark We see, the whole Bible is literally a blueprint on how to live your life and not perish. So, ask God for that blueprint, ask God for that detail in your business. And to give you that vision statement. And if you can, write it in past tense, as if it is already happening or has already happened. And allow yourself to co create and dream big with God while you're doing this exercise. And I believe like he will give you vision. He will give you the next right step. And then as I always say, walk obedient and rest like he's the God of victory and the God of outcome. So, yes, we need our vision to not perish, but we also have to heed. Okay, now that we have that little exercise out of the way, let's dive into some scripture around legacy and inheritance. So in Proverbs 13, 22, it says a good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the richest. So as a kingdom entrepreneur, I do believe we are supposed to steward profitable businesses. And if we can get to a place where we're stewarding our finances well, we can actually start building generational wealth. And if you never had generational wealth, then this is my challenge that it starts with you. It starts with you right now, getting your debts taken care of. It starts with you right now, getting the right assets in place so that you can pass them down to your kids. And if you don't know what that is. We have resources inside of Kingdom Alliance Mentorship Platform where you can learn how to use and save, create wealth, money, finances in a biblical way. And there's so many resources in there and coaches that can help you with that. So just reach out to me if you're looking for help. help around your finances and how to actually get started on building generational wealth, especially if you've never really had a solid financial foundation because that is such a lie from the enemy to keep Christians poor and to keep them in poverty and like we're literally called to help the help the widows and the impoverished. So how are we supposed to help people in poverty if we're in poverty ourselves? So I definitely believe like we are supposed to have an inheritance for our children's children, and a lot of times that is stifled because we are not, you know, heeding God's wisdom around finances and around saving and investing and tithing and trusting him with our finances. I do believe like God is a God of abundance, and no this is not prosperity gospel, this is literally just the truth. Like, Jesus was not a poor person. His father is not poor. God sits in heaven on, you know, a throne. He has roads paved with gold. He has a pearl, a giant pearl, one pearl of the giant gate of heaven. Like, so we know that there is wealth and abundance. We see over and over again how God has blessed people financially with wealth and abundance. And so I don't believe that wealth and abundance is bad, it's just a tool. And it all comes back to your heart. when your heart posture towards is that money and that wealth an idol or is it a tool to use for kingdom impact. And so I believe if we are have our heart posture in the right space where God is Lord and money is not Lord, then having money is not bad or wrong. And it's actually good because when good hearted people with our heart for God have wealth, guess what happens? The world is going to be impacted in a positive way. So don't be afraid of wealth and creating an inheritance. Alright, now that I'm off that soap bucket, let's talk into diving into inheritance. So we are called to live in inheritance and that does come back if you are building a kingdom business and you're wanting it, you have a vision for it to be profitable and actually make more than maybe just, you know, a side hustle or, or like, Taking care of some expenses like you actually want to use your business to build a legacy wealth then I want to encourage you also to dream with God and create vision for what does that legacy look like? I believe wealth is part of the inheritance, but like actually Vision with God about what is the legacy you want your family to leave like for example like I want my son to have a heart for Jesus and be like a kingdom warrior. And I want him to be a spiritual leader in his household. And so I need to raise him up in the way that he should go. And I need to train him and my husband and I need to train him in these ways so that he can be a good husband, a good father, a good spiritual leader. We're, you know, in his family, but also just in the world. And his fear of influence that God's going to give him. So think of like, what is your inheritance, what is your legacy going to, what is the inheritance you're going to leave, what is the legacy you're going to leave in regards to your family, in regards to where are you tithing and giving offerings to, in regards to the wealth you want to have, like, are you going to have specific accounts set up Again, like not diving into that, but there's like different insurance and savings accounts that you can have to and different assets that you can have that are going to generate wealth and be transferable. So that 13, 22. A person, a good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous. And then there's a couple other scriptures I want to read to you in regards to building a legacy. So don't be afraid of wealth and creating an inheritance. Alright, now that I'm off that soap bucket, let's talk into diving into inheritance. So we are called to live in inheritance and that does come back if you are building a kingdom business and you're wanting it, you have a vision for it to be profitable and actually make more than maybe just, you know, a side hustle or, or like, Taking care of some expenses like you actually want to use your business to build a legacy wealth then I want to encourage you also to dream with God and create vision for what does that legacy look like? and Not just wealth right like yes, I believe wealth is part of the inheritance, but like actually Vision with God about what is the legacy you want your family to leave like for example like I want my son to have a heart for Jesus and be like a kingdom warrior. I want to read to you is Psalm 78, 4. And this one is talking about how we must hide them from our children. Children, but must tell a future generation, the praises. of the award. His might and the wonderful works that he has before. So I think generational. Legacy also comes back to not just generational wealth, but also like, are we passing down? God's truth to our. Our next generation. And so when you're. Looking at your vision. Vision for your business and. And your vision for your legacy that you want to leave behind. Are you making sure that you're actually sharing and discipling others into who. God is an N helping them practice the way of Jesus and be more like Jesus, because that's the only way I think we're going to change the world. At this point, I mean, we have to practice. We have to actually be apprentices of Jesus and actually practice the way of Jesus. Instead of just talking. About Jesus. Because I think there's like the Christians. That are just like basic question for moving. Maybe thought well, but there's like basic Christians, but there's no depth to them. Right. They believe in Jesus and maybe they gave their life. To him. But they don't really. Practice. The way of Jesus and operate. As a child of God and their authority and their dominion. And so I encourage you. To go past the basic level and continue to dive deep into your faith and dive deep into God's character and who Jesus is and how he operated, how he talked to people. What does he do day to day and. Like literally practice his ways and we're going to fail at this every day. And that's why we have Jesus because we are sinners in need of a savior. And the more that we can continue to, I think, learn about Jesus and his character. Character, the more we're going to learn about God. And then we have our holy spirit to counsel us the robot. So. It's just the more we learn about Jesus. I think the more like Jesus is really cool and he was kind of a gangster in his time. Like he was definitely a rebel. In his time. He did things backwards. And so. I encourage you to just to learn more about Jesus. So then you can continue to share. Share that next. But that next generation. And not just. Have lukewarm Christians, but actually have Christians and your family on fire for God who are. Yeah, I don't, that's what I want. Like, I don't want my family and the generations to come after me to be on fire for God. To have deep roots in their faith. Two. Continuously want to pursue God. In his kingdom. And actually bring kingdom here on earth. With their actions with. Our words. With just how they operate and. Just their presence. I want them to be in light for Jesus. And then, and that's where I think Proverbs 17, six. I too, because it's talking about. Grandchildren or the crown of the age, the glory of children is their. Our fathers. And so just again, like. As we're building legacy, like it's in building a business. Like it goes deeper than just. Pain. Maybe the bills and I think. And I don't I hearing, when I say that, like right now, I am. I'm kind of in a season where my businesses, a little, it just pay the bills. We're not. We're not really building the legacy right now with my business or that's okay. We're paying off debt, we're doing other things that will create legacy. And so I think there's definitely a step-by-step process to that, right? Like we are in the process of setting a strong foundation so that we can create generational wealth and have that wealth passed down. To our side and hopefully. You know, our children's children. But then also working on ourselves and. Being parents who will lead up, we'll raise up a next generational generation of leaders and kingdom warriors. And. Someone who actually loves Jesus and wants to pursue him and will disciple others in that. And so Azure. Going through your vision and mission and having this like quiet time with God. Yes. Do you mission envision or your business? And what does that look like in the next year? Next five years, next 10 years of God can give you all thought long. A bigger vision, but then also. Think of it even generational. What can that mission be? From a generational. And where can that vision be from a generational impact and legacy impact? And. I believe as kingdom entrepreneurs, our lives and business are so intertwined. So hopefully that goes without saying, like, as your vision, your business, like you're also envisioning, like, what is that life for? What like that this vision, this business you're creating is gonna create. Because when we have, I think, successful businesses, we can create. A lifestyle. But impacts. What is impactful. So that's kind of my 2 cents on mission and vision. Exercise for you. To just get a little bit more clarity, because I don't want you to perish. I want you to have a solid vision. I want you to walk obediently. And the direction God is. Calling you. And I want you to know for sure that this is your vision. And that the vision dot, maybe you're a company or a coach or an influencer gave you, but this is actually the vision from God. And then just walk it out, wholeheartedly, press towards the goal that God has given you. And, you know, get to the end out of breath, get to the end. Of your life, or you can hear Don say, well done. Good and faithful servant. You've fulfilled the vision. You were on mission. Did you mess up head ya? But you kept seeking me. Coming back to. And you were a daughter after my own heart. So that's, that's my home. When I get to the end of my life, like God says this things about me. And I hope that this little podcast will help you get a little closer to that yourself. So that I love you. I have you ever great date.
